Let’s Help Each Other

There are many ways that you can help to try and defeat the proposed 3000 home development of Whyburn Farm.

Spread The Word

The more people that know about, and voice their objections about the development, the more chance we have of succeeding in defeating the proposed development of Whyburn Farm.

If you love Hucknall as much as we do, please share this website, and pass the word as much as possible.

The Public Meeting

Thank you to all who attended the first meeting regarding the development.

Your support meant everything to us, and showed the politicians how upset the Hucknall people are with these plans.

Thank you to Lauren Mitchell for providing the video of the full meeting which is available to watch here.

Make A Fuss

Let your feelings be heard by the ones that are in power.

Even though the official consultation period has ended, please contact your Ashfield District Council councillors and let them know your feelings.

We also ask that you contact our local MP, Mark Spencer and let him know your feelings. His e-mail address is mark.spencer.mp@parliament.uk. Please be sure to include your home address in the e-mail.

Even though you may be frustrated by the local council, and annoyed that they appear to do everything in their power to destroy our greenbelt, we ask you to be polite and courteous when communicating with them.

Get Social

If you are not already a member of our facebook group, please join us and share the group online.

We are also on twitter @SavingHucknall so please follow us and tag us in any relevant tweets and help spread the word.

We would also like to see your photos of the Whyburn Farm land as well as any stories and comments you may have.

If you are on instagram and would like to share your photos with us just tag us with @savinghucknall or if you would like your photos and comments featured on this website please email them to web@hawfd.org.

Donate

Your generous donations have helped us distribute 15000 leaflets throughout Hucknall as well as posters and banners.

This fight to protect our green belt may go on for several years, so all donations are very much appreciated to help us in our fight

If you can donate just five pounds through our Go Fund Me page you will be helping us to achieve our goal.

Any excess funds will be donated to the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust at the end of the campaign.

We appreciate that not everyone can donate financially, but if you can donate your time, volunteers may well be required later in our campaign. Also, if you can donate a product or service to help us in our campaign, please e-mail web@hawfd.org.

Spread The Word

Word of mouth is still one of the most effective ways of advertising.

Please make sure you tell your friends, family and work colleagues and anybody else that would be prepared to listen about the proposed development.

If you have access to a printer, please download and display our poster to show your support.

The more people that know and object to this development, the more chance we have of getting it turned down.

Record Wildlife

Our friends at Hucknall Wildlife Group work tirelessly to record the flora and fauna in the Hucknall area.

You can help them by taking part in the 2023 survey of the local wildlife and logging your sightings here.

Providing this information will help provide a better understanding of the ecological diversity of this threatened area and give even more grounds for getting the Local Plan overturned.
